Cachaca Bands and Artists List
La cachaca, kchaka ou kachaka (es) est un genre musical originaire du Paraguay à la fin des années 1970 et au début des années 1980. Il descend de la cumbia colombienne, de la cumbia mexicaine, de la musique grupera et de la Tecnocumbia.
C'est un terme qui a été adopté au Paraguay pour désigner spécifiquement cette synthèse musicale. Son influence est devenue notable dans le pays à partir de la seconde moitié des années 1980, avec des groupes mexicains comme El Tiempo, Bronco ou Los Bukis. Dans les années 1990, il connaît son heure de gloire avec ces groupes précurseurs, ainsi qu'avec d'autres comme Mandingo, Guardianes del Amor, Los Rehenes, Los Temerarios ou Grupo Bryndis.
